At myBCN, our team isn’t made up of tour guides. It’s a small group of people who live here, love this city, and know how to tell a good story. Some are architects. Others are historians, performers, writers, teachers, or curious minds who’ve made Barcelona their home. Each host brings their own personality and passions to the experience, with no scripts and no identical tours.
What unites them all is a shared belief: that the best walks are the ones where guests feel part of the conversation. That’s why we choose people who are great listeners as well as great storytellers. On any given day, you might explore Roman ruins with a trained archaeologist, talk Gaudí with someone who’s studied modernisme for years, or laugh your way through the Gothic Quarter with someone who’s been telling these stories for decades.
Every host is hand-picked by Matt and Jana, not just for knowledge but for warmth, curiosity, and the ability to make you feel like you belong here. We support each other, share insights, and constantly refine our stories together. Because in the end, this isn’t a job for us; it’s something we believe in.
